For years, I traced the edges of a profound culture—wandering through Bhutan, Nepal, and North India, experiencing the wisdom of Tibetan traditions woven into local tapestries. This Easter holiday, I once again stepped onto this amazing land of Tibet.

Strolling through the ancient courtyards of the Samye Monastery—the very first beacon of Buddhism in Tibet—time seemed to dissolve. The rhythmic resonance of the monks' chanting felt as though it had traveled across a millennium just to meet me in that exact moment.

At 3,700 m altitude, the world has a different rhythm. Everything slows down. In our fast-paced professional lives, we often have to work hard to achieve mindfulness. But in the thin, crisp air of the Himalayas, mindfulness is no longer a practice; it is a natural state of being. When oxygen is scarce, every single breath becomes infinitely precious.

It is difficult to encapsulate the rich tapestry of this journey, as every step held a universe of meaning. One precious lesson I learned was actually one of self-discovery. By being forced to draw every breath deeply and intentionally, I found myself effortlessly anchored in the present moment.

Before this trip, I was surrounded by the inevitable "noise" of modern life and external expectations. Yet, stepping onto the Tibetan plateau, a profound stillness washed over me. All the noise simply quieted down.

I finally understand the magnetic pull Tibet has on so many souls. It is not just the majestic landscapes; it is the ultimate realization that life can be extraordinarily simple and deeply joyful, just through the awareness of a few deep breaths. May we all find access to this simple, profound joy in our daily lives, regardless of our altitude. And may we cultivate this grounded, peaceful energy for our loved ones, our colleagues and everyone we encounter on our path. 🙏✨
